AirCon is a mobile heavy equipment services company with a long and successful operating history in Fort McMurray and Northern Alberta (1994).
AirCon installs and services Fire Suppression systems on a broad range of mobile heavy equipment including some of the largest hydraulic shovels and haul trucks in the world. In addition to its Fire Suppression division, AirCon installs and services all Air Conditioning, Heating, and Air Filtration components mounted on heavy equipment.
Working with many of the largest Exploration & Production Oil & Gas and Construction companies operating in Western Canada, AirCon provides customers with an ability to obtain their heavy equipment services from a single source provider.
Solution focused, AirCon aims to be proactive and innovative when providing its services. We pride ourselves on our ability to work with each customer’s needs to deliver tailored services that optimize productivity and increase equipment performance.
Our Team
Liam Burgess
President & CEO
Liam Burgess is the CEO and President of AirCon Technologies. Before becoming the CEO in 2012, Liam was the Vice President of Operations responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations, including direct management of AirCon’s operations, supply chain, and end-to-end management support for all customers.
Liam is the visionary leader of the business and plays a key leadership role in fostering a business culture based on principles of integrity, customer service, and safety. Raised in Fort McMurray, Liam is very committed to the local Fort McMurray community and plays an active role in supporting many local groups and charities including: Fort McMurray United Way, Wood Buffalo Food Bank and the Keyano Woman’s Basketball program.

Dana Flanagan
CFO
Dana is our financial leader here at AirCon. His diverse experience in strategic planning, corporate banking and leadership have been invaluable to our entire team since 2011. He is committed to helping build each member of our team so that everyone can develop and achieve success.
Dana has a love for the people and spirit of community that Fort McMurray exudes. He is an active volunteer in Alberta community groups including Parkland Community Association, Lake Bonavista Figure Skating Club, Mako Water Polo Club, Knights Hockey and the Alberta Water Polo Association.

Mark plays an integral role on our team, managing all operational IT infrastructure and our vendor contracts and budgets. He has been with us since 2014, and continues to champion all Digital Transformation projects to support AirCon’s growth trajectory.
Mark has many, many great memories from his time in Fort McMurray. His favourite time of year is that blip after the snow melts and before the bugs come out! Volunteering for the Arctic Winter Games is another highlight that often comes to mind, spending time with great people.

Desmond Routhier
General Manager
Born and raised in Fort McMurray, Desmond brings over fifteen years of experience from the automotive service industry to his role at AirCon.
As a Red Seal Automotive Technician, he is responsible for overseeing our parts and service/fleet department, and maintaining client relations at multiple job sites. Desmond also leads our supervision team to ensure policy and procedures are being followed, as the continued health and well being of our team is our top priority.

Tracy Mullaly
Health & Safety Manager
Employee safety is important in all industries, but even more so when you’re working with large equipment in more remote areas. Since 2008, Tracy has been working with our team to develop innovative methods to engage employees at all levels. With her extensive 20-year career in the safety industry, Tracy takes the lead establishing and maintaining our safety management systems.
Born and raised in Fort McMurray, Tracy has been (very!) involved in various community initiatives such as the Fort McMurray Snow Angels, Food Bank, Steps-for-Life, and Santa Claus Parade to name just a few. To her, Fort McMurray is the epitome of community. Through all of the challenges we face, we all come together to help one another without question.

Finance Manager
Geraldine is responsible for all of the day to day financial operations at AirCon, and management of our accounting and administrative team. She brings over 30 years of experience, having served various accounting and management roles in the service, wholesale, retail and automobile industries, including her own bookkeeping business for several years.
The AirCon leadership team goes out of their way to take care of their people and make sure they are always in a good place both at work and in their family lives. Though Geraldine has been a part of our team for a short time, she has experienced two major catastrophes — the CoronaVirus pandemic and the 2020 flood — and both times she noted how the well-being of our people and their families was paramount.

Technical Manager
For over 15 years, Denault has managed and handled the coordination of our fire suppression, heating, air conditioning, and air filtration installations and maintenance programs here at AirCon.
As a Red Seal Automotive Technician, Denault brings over 21 years of experience and knowledge to our team. During his time with us he has also been involved in the management of special projects and financial accountability.
Denault admires how Fort McMurray has industries that provide opportunities for continual learning and growth, as well as being a diverse family oriented community with an abundance of recreational activities. He has been involved in volunteering at the Wood Buffalo Food Bank on multiple occasions, and betters the community by making financial donations to many non-profit organizations.
